Partnership with AEP
In her current role, Shayla collaborates with the AEP TFS Analytics team on several pivotal projects. Her primary focus is on enhancing Power BI dashboards to ensure they are user-friendly, functional, and aligned with the team’s goals. Shayla’s focus is on providing users with insightful data trends and accurate future projections.
“My role is to use the insights and parameters for each project to bring the data to life using impactful visuals,” says Shayla.
Shayla’s partnership with AEP has been instrumental in her success. The team’s support has allowed her to flourish creatively and professionally.
“The AEP TFS Analytics team has been awesome in helping me understand their data needs and goals while giving me the space to be creative in the ways I accomplish those needs,” she shares.

“AI has made our lives as data analysts easier by automating some of the more complex tasks, including predictive modeling and manual data preparation,” Shayla notes.
Overcoming Challenges
Transitioning from a healthcare background, Shayla initially faced challenges understanding energy data. However, with the guidance and support from her team, she quickly adapted and thrived. This adaptability and willingness to learn highlight the importance of having a supportive environment and a team that values continuous professional development.
